Commandments, A Dream Come True, and Cleaning the Chapel

There is a Primary song that says,

"Keep the commandments; keep the commandments!
In this there is safety; in this there is peace.
He will send blessings; He will send blessings.
Words of a prophet: Keep the commandments.
In this there is safety and peace."

We met with one of the people we are teaching and she shared with us a lot of the experiences she has had with not keeping the commandments and it just hit me that keeping the commandments really does bring us blessings.
For example, the Word of Wisdom. If we live the Word of Wisdom, we will never have a DUI, we will never have to go to jail for doing things we don't remember, we will have the Spirit, and be aware of everything we are doing. Really the blessings are endless! It's the same with the Law of Chastity, going to church, reading our scriptures, honoring our parents, etc. When we follow the commandments there is safety and there is peace.

Also, this week one of my dreams came true! We were in the English class in our ward this week (we help teach, and since I speak English I help with pronunciation and grammar, etc.) and I GOT TO READ KINDERGARTEN BOOKS TO THE CLASS! I guess it's always been my dream to sit in front of people and read books. It made me so happy!

Also, we got to help the members in our ward clean the church building and we got to clean the Sacrament Room. It was really fun to clean the Lord's house. I just kept thinking that if we make this room spotless, the Spirit can be there even more during Sacrament Meeting, and guess what?, the next day the Spirit was so strong during church! The talks were so inspired and it was the most reverent Sacrament Meeting we have had since I've been here. I am not too sure if that was a coincidence.... but with God there are no coincidences
