We don't have too much time to email but I am leaving Carrizo Springs and I'm off to Woodlake/Converse in East San Antonio. And.... I am training again! So that will be another 12 week adventure
I am so sad to leave Sister Thompson. She has been a fantastic companion. She has brought so much happiness to my life here on my mission and has taught me how to truly love the people here in Carrizo Springs.
This area is a humbling area for all missionaries, especially me. It makes me appreciate al I have. From a ward with 300+ members, to a shower that works, to space in a house, and members to eat with. But even with all those things, it has been the best area. The members are so loving. Each and every one of them live by "mi casa es su casa" (my house is your house). Everybody gives you food, water, love, and a good conversation even though they may not be interested in you. I have learned to love more like the Savior, to be appreciative of what I have been given, and to be truly patient.
D&C 78:18
"...be of good cheer, for I will lead you along...."
Heavenly Father leads us and teaches us what we need to learn. I know He loves you. I know He watches over you and is by your side leading you where He needs you to go. I know He is doing the same for me. As I am going to a new area, with a fresh missionary, covering 2 wards, I feel peace knowing that God will be there right by my side, leading me along.
